If you heard fire engine sirens around noon today.....you can thank my little Noah for that.
He and the girl I babysit for locked themselves in the detached garage. My keys of course still in the van parked inside the garage.
I called police non-emergency to see if they'd send a squad car to help me "break in", but of course they felt it was an emergency and sent roaring fire trucks - sirens and all! It took 3 firemen with various tools to release the door for the two 2-year olds to come out.
Funny how kids can lock any door they're not supposed to but try to get them to UNLOCK a door and all of a sudden they don't speak English
Glad I had a good view of them through the glass window in the door, they were happily playing throughout the lock-in.
Thanks for the rescue, Huntersville Fire Dept!
Now my only concern is that Noah will see the fire truck rescue as POSITIVE reinforcement.

Wearing the key around my neck the rest of today!

How embarassing!
ReplyDeleteI believe that Noah has outdone Hayden in trouble-making!
