Charlotte's First Bee Sting

Today while Charlotte and Ted were in the swimming pool a huge, fuzzy Black Bumble Bee buzzed up and decided to STING my sweet baby girl, through her rash-guard shirt.  She was laughing and having fun with Daddy and all of sudden started screaming and crying.  We removed the shirt and saw a big pink mosquito bite-looking thing on her chest.  We were a little nervous about whether or not she might experience an allergic reaction. Luckily she stopped crying after a few minutes and we wiped her off with a sting wipe packet.  The bite swelling went down after an hour or so.  Doctor said to keep an eye on her for a couple hours, but she was fine.  Made me reconsider getting the epi-pen prescription Doc gave us for her PB allergy, to have on hand.  Better safe than sorry.

  1. That nasty nasty bee! I'm sure it's foreshadowing of the boys swarming around Lottie when she's older. Teach her to protect herself now!

What's a rash guard shirt? Never had those when my little Muellers were little (which they are not anymore since my baby is now 19!)
